I use a Wixey digital fence gauge attached to my fence in conjunction with a micro adjuster I ALWAYS trust it more then my eye on a ruler
NO WAY my eye is looking at 0.001"

If you are in the Orlando area contact me lets get together and talk saw dust (or food or anything else you like except sports)

My wife and I are National Food Judges so we CAN talk food with the best.

Unisaw/Bies ;use the tape, BT3000, measure like Rod. The Bies. is just spot on every time. I do not like the ryobi scale and the indicator can easilty be moved off setting unlike the Bies. which is well , a tank in build and the indicator is protected. They say it is accurate to 1/64" and I believe them.

Use ONE measuring device for the whole project.

You can check the scale to your measuring device, and see how they compare. This works ok for some things, but the general rule STILL applies. Use ONE measuring device for the whole project.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
