    What rip blade to get?

Deciding what rip blade to get. I'm considering the Freud LM74R010 or Freud LU87R010? any suggestions?

Got this blade when on sale at Amazon, couldn't be more pleased with it. Slices through curly maple, paduak and tiger wood with little or no saw marks and no burning. I can feed the stock through the blade pretty quickly. Only downside is it seems to make a lot of dust. I use it on the BT3100.

Depends partly on what saw you have, what you want to cut, and what blades you already have.

The LM74 is a full kerf TCG 30T glue line ripper with a moderate hook designed to give a good edge on materials 1" or less. It's prone to burning on thicker woods.

The LU87 is a thin kerf FTG 24T ripper with a steep 20 degree hook that rip thick stock very efficiently but won't leave an overly clean edge. It'll take thicker wood than the LM74 at a faster feedrate.
