This any good? I am considering it. I think its the AP12? Any idea what retail was new? I think this one has no dust collection? Should I hold out for something nicer with dust collection?

I would say it depend on the price. Ryobi planners are typically rated as "best buys" instead of "best tools". A new bottom end planner can sometimes be had for $200 or so. I would want a used older model to be significantly cheaper depending some on extras like a dust hood which this apparently doesn't have and extra blades.
thanks Jim.
He wants a buck and a quarter for it but I am gonna pass. Looking at prices of some of the other used ones I will wait till summer I think and try to get something a little better that has dust collection.
