Hitachi Stationary Saw

I was at my local Lowes and noticed they now carry a Hitachi Stationary saw. Anyone have any experience with it? It had a few gimicky features like a micro adjustment and a bevel display dial on the table.

I've gone over the C10FL several times in a couple of different stores. It seems like a decent enough machine, but I just don't find many advantages over others near the price range if you're doing a feature comparison, other than an internal motor...which, admittedly is a preferred feature to me.

Guess I'm disappointed that they didn't push the envelope much in the way of innovation. They claim 3hp but it's really just a 15 amp induction motor like most. I honestly can't think of another current entry level fence that's less desirable than this one....the Delta T2, the Grizzly Shop Fox Aluma Classic, the Ridgid, Craftsman, and Jet Microglide all have more appeal to me. The wings are thin sheet metal, and the wheels require 8 individual actions to raise and reset the saw.

The owner comments on the forums has been mixed. Since it's less proven and offers very few pros over the competition (IMHO), I can't find good reason to choose it over another saw unless there was a large price advantage. I'd look to Grizzly, GI, Ridgid, Craftsman, Jet, Delta, Shop Fox, and Bridgewood first.

I was looking at it for some time as I usually only buy hitachi. The ratings I saw on it were mixed to say the least so I started looking at the rigid 3650 which seem to be the flavour of the moment.

Then I saw the light and discovered this place and bought a bt3k in mint condition....wheee

Like others, I looked at it when it came out, mainly out of curiosity. Looks decent enough but don't know anyone that has any experience with it.
