I have a 4' and 8'. The base fit in the track's 2 slots, 1 for the "t" nuts and 1 for the track. I use springs w. the "t" nuts and mark the direction on the knob so just I press down to get it into the slot. I have cut the kerf on the front and back edges, filled w. black crayon to line up for the cut. I have a PC saw mounted dedicated. I leave the plunge lock slightly loose so if I lift the saw it will have the blade covered and I still have a zc base. I could add a stop to limit cut depth but there is little tearout w. a 40th Freud blade. I would use a saw w. a brake if I was to do it again.
It is extreemly accurate w. their track.
They give little in the way of instructions.
It is not the system I would buy today but t the time there were few options.

I have the 8' with the saw base. The base they sell is very high but after trying to duplicate one for my router, it is the way to go.
