    Dual Drum Sander Grit Choices

I have a Grizzly G1079 16" Dual Drum Sander. It came pre-loaded with 80 on the front drum and 100 on the rear drum. I feel like I can move to a finer grit based upon the quality of the wood coming off my jointer and planer. My thought was 100/150 but I am wondering if I can go 120/180. For those of you with drum sanders (single or dual) do you find that 120 can remove the milling marks left by planer/jointer? I have 3 Bosch ROS's that I have typically used in the past and they are loaded with 100/150/180. I find that I skip 100g a lot and go through 150/180 with the ROSs. I guess there would be nothing wrong with going 100/180 or 120/180 on the Dual Drum Sander? 120/180 is starting to sound logical.

Doesn't really answer your question as I just have a single drum but I have found that 150 is just about all I need to run.

No Mike, that actually helps and is kind of what I was looking for. Hearing that 150 on a single drum will take care of 'average" milling marks from planer/jointer helps me in my decision. Sounds like a 120/180 might work.

I was checking out www.supergrit.com yesterday as they are located in nearby Gettysburg and they have great deals on drum paper. At first they seemed average until I noted they were dealing with yards v. feet!
