I will get the name close enough that you can find it, Carvewright, I believe (or Carverwright). You can find a bunch of chatter about it over at sawmill creeks forum. People seem to move out of it relatively quickly and up to larger machines.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

A friend of mine bought one. He showed off a wooden sign that he had it cut, looked good. Don't have much more info than that.

I checked out some of the samples and forum at www.carvewright.com. Looks very interesting, but way out of my budget right now.

You were right on with Carvewright: http://www.carvewright.com/
Looks like the same machine as the Craftsman.

I am a woodworker and a professional geek, so I simply call the thing a "printer" that uses very expensive (and thick) paper : )

I have thought about that. It wouldn't be bad to have a side business doing custom carvings and reliefs for people. If I had more time and $2,000, I would think about it.

I'm pretty sure that you could cut some plastics with it as well. Might make some nice lithopanes.
