Finding accessories that fit Ryobi T-slot

I received a featherboard jig for X-mas that I was going to use on my BTS10S (10" portable table saw) and also my Ryobi router table, only to find that everyone else uses the standard 3/4" x 3/8" T- slot except Ryobi. Does anyone know where I can buy accessories for these slots, or at least the slide inserts?

When I had my BT10, I made my own out of UHMW or maple. When I go my BT3100 it was very nice to have standard slots in the accessory Miter Slot Table.

Making, or buying a featherboard itself is not a problem, I'm just wondering if anyone knows where to get the post that fits that slot?

That's what I made out of UHMW or maple. That adapter that fits into the slot and provides the friction to hold the featherboard in place. I got the idea from an aluminum one that I saw somewhere. It used a 1/4" flat head screw countersunk into the bottom of a block that was split from one end up to the hole so that tightening the nut would cause the screw head to expand the block a bit and bind it in the slot. Cut the block so that it is a very close fit in the slot so that it doesn't need much expansion to bind in the slot. I pinned the screw slot in the block to keep it from turning. Use a screw that is long enough to reach through your featherboard and hold the know for tightening.

Jerry has gien you a solution. You can use either UHMV as he decribed or Highland Woodworking sells phonelic strips to use in mitre slots. They are oversize for a 3/4" slot. If you use UHMV, I would cut it slightly over also and take it down to "just right" with a card scraper.

I build most of my mitre gauges and mitre slots at this point of the game as I end up with exactly "what I want" instead of what someone un-be-known to me decides I need. ha.. ha...

          Regards...

My BT has the accessory tables with Craftsman miter slot sized tables. .005" smaller then the standard, just like all the Sears saws.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Since there are a couple of bts10s owners on this thread, I thought I'd ask... Does the throat plate from the bts15 fit the bts10s? If so, then I could attach hardwood underneath it -- routed to fit flush in the opening -- and get some semblance of a zero clearance throat plate. I thought I'd read that the bts15 and bts10s were basically the same.

                Sorry to hijack the thread,
                Rick
