    JET 52" supersaw JWSS-10LFR

    EDIT:
does anyone think it'd be possible to cut the rails short and have them re-attach as an extention RAIL/TABLE when needed?

say make a "floating tenon" to fit inside the extruded rails for a couple inches on each side,, and then bolt on or something.... would this be possible and still maintain accuracy/strength? i'd support the left side with more legs or a full wood side with casters. to possibly act as an independant router-table when detached?

i could definitely pick it up if this scenario could work out well!.

    ----
so i came across this for sale today in my area.

i think i'm just drooling over getting a new tool mostly.
for the price ($750) its real nice, what with the mobile base and tenon jig and sliding table etc. year+ old.

owners selling as its just too big for his shop.
problem is i'm thinking the same thing about mine!!! im in a 10x20'ish garage. 2-cars lengthwise....
i do rip plywood occasionally, not weekly.i'd say monthly but i've made out fairly well with a clamped on guide and circ.saw...i mean i cant really justify needing 52" of rip capacity, i just dont..still, it looks **** nice though LOL

guess i'm more in need of some talking Out of this..
the motors not huge at 1-3/4 (probably rated @ max ever achieved-as usual too) now if it were 3-5HP it'd be hard to pass up.

been having trouble with my bt3100 for a while with alignment, height mechanism, etc. maybe looking for an easy (though pricey) solution rather than getting my ass in gear and learning to fix these addressable problems..

well. here's a few pics for ya's to oggle over. let me know your thoughts!

Definitely has all the bells and whistles installed. Sliding table, tenon jig, mobile base, etc. If I were closer I would be tempted...

      Measure it with a micrometer...
      Mark it with a crayon...
Cut it with a chain saw!

Looks sweet. Sliding table, 52" fence, etc. You can't pick a new saw with all the bells and whistles for that price.

I'm like an old dog, just wet myself in excitement.

Got the perfect answer for you, GET THE SAW! Then, complain to SWMBO that you need a bigger shop!

In all seriousness, you should consider it. If size is a problem, I'm sure you could come up with some way to make a smaller extension on the right side. That should help some.

You could always part out your BT3 and get back some of your money.

sell the rails and extension table and buy shorter ones....
                I wouldn't cut them...

Didn't someone on this site do something with the long rails so they can be disconnected?

Search around this site and you might find an example of what you want to do.
