PC 4212 jig through DT question

I had the jig sitting in the box for long enough and finally decided to cut a through DT - getting ready to start making some drawers for a dresser. I am pleased with the quality of the jig and instructions, but have a question on the test joint. I am not sure if you can see it in the picture, but the joint is misaligned (circled in red) a little. Was it an operator error or the template needs some kind of adjustment?

Your's looks like the 4th from the left.(misaligned edge guides)

BTW, by misaligned edge guide, do they mean the offset guide on the PC jig?

I've only done a couple through dovetails as practice with my PC jig, but I'm guessing that you didn't get good registration to the side guide. That would be the only thing that would shift the joint like that, unless your template is defective (one side shifted so when you turn it around it loses registration).

Good point. I will try it again and make sure the stock is all the way against the offset guide on the jig.
