How much do you use your surface planner?

    I have the Ryobi ap1300 good little planer. Too bad they quit making it, the new version isn't as good. Anyway, I use it all of the time. I buy mostly S2S lumber, which I can get at good prices here, and running everything through the planer at the same time ensures the same thicknesses.

    It's an important tool to have, I'd recommend getting one, you'll use it more than you think.

      I have the Dewalt 734. Haven't made a project without running wood through it since I got it....Make sure you wear your ear plugs.......
      The biggest reason I chose that one against other in the same price range was three knives instead of two. Not sure how much difference that makes but that was my deciding factor.
      Its time to change them. There are a couple dings that I can avoid on small boards....
