I've used one of these to cut sheet goods and I like them. The only problem is getting it set up correctly, but I think that's mostly operator error.
I cut on the floor, using several 2x laid flat to support the stock, with one 2x on each side of the cut so that at least one of them supports the circular saw and my weight when I have to crawl across the sheet as I guide the saw. Depending on what kinds of cuts you make, supporting the stock on a table so you can cut standing up is fine, too.

Many many will suggest to make your own sawboard.
I have some of the All-In-One clamps with the saw guide which prevent any deviatiating from the guide edge and are highly recommended (quite similiar to the tru grip)
If you want to go crazy expensive look into the festool system or not so crazy, the EZ Smart by Eurekazone.
Then again, a sawboard probably can be made from scrap you already have. Plus you line up the sawboard to your cutline, no compensating for the blade distnace from the cutline.
Good luck,
