Journeyman Tool Company 3/8" and 1/2" Loose Tenon Jig

I saw David T. featured it on DIY tools & Techniques and it looked like it works pretty well. Anybody actually used one of this?

Also, anybody ever made the beadlock tenon without buying the router bit that they were selling for it?

I bought one and made a drafting table using loose tenons. I had to sand the tenon stock to get it to fit. I'm not sure, but my 3/8" drill bit might have been a hair undersized. Using the jig was easy--it's a simple two-step process, if you don't have to sand the tenon.

Since then I've gone to pocket holes for most joints (not ready to try genuine M&T yet). I never tried making my own tenon stock.

I have it, and I don't use it. I use a plunge router to make my loose tenons, see a video here....

I found that making 1 or 2 joints, this setup isn't bad, but even then, the fit isn't great.
