Saw an article either in Workbench or Popular Woodworking -- actually a response to a person's letter. It was talking about the problem of dust ending up in the housing for the lower wheel in bandsaws.
Their solution was to cut a hole in the door to the lower wheel and attach to it a 4" dust collection hood. Thought it was a bit drastic but still interesting. Have any of you guys taken that step ?
They showed closing up the normal dust collection port on the saw but I didn't think that made sense. Why not just put in a Y and collect from both locations.
Would be interested to hear if anyone has tried this.
