    New 18volt Ryobi Tools

I just left the borg in NJ and my tour of their redesigned no real tool on display -dispalys. (I guess too many people were touching the real tools and now there are only pictures with boxes below) However at the Ryobi 18 volt ONE+ display there are New Tools not listed on the web site nor did anyone at the borg know anything about them.
A canister wet/dry vacuum similar to the dewalt but $39
A digitally tuned radio $29 (Not a stereo blaster but decent)
    A right angle grinder I think 4 inch $49
A car polisher buffer with pads $29
A TWO battery with a Two Port One hour charger $69

Now every box says that there is a 30 day no questons asked return on power tools.

BTW ALL gas powered stuff Like the snow blower I picked up is a 30 day return and then it's your problem to get it fixed the borg will NOT send it out for service. (This bites how do you deliver a 325 lb snow blower in the middle of winter to a repair facility in tim buck two??)

    rman,

Yeah, I've seen them. They've been available for months depending on your location.

BTW, they are listed with the descriptions on the Ryobi website. User comments and reviews can be found on the Ryobi forum.

The vac you mention is not similiar to the DeWalt. The Ryobi is only $39 (Those that have both state that the Ryobi is a bit more powerful but only has a paper type filter which clogs quicker than the DeWalts ($109 ) pleated "real" shop vac type filter.

The grinder has gotten very good reviews while most people are upset with the cheapo radio (Word is their are patent issues concerning a radio/cd player/charger like Bosch has and thus Ryobi is prevented from making one for two more years)

The sole review I read about the polisher was positve.

I'm just waiting for a potential Christmas sale to snag the cordless shopvac.

Now it does help if you already have a bunch of Ryobi batteries to begin with....

    Regards,
    Greg

I tried and returned the car buffer RB101. It tended to easily lose the terry cloth cover on the disk, did 1/2" oscillations, shook my arms a lot.

I can not find that on HD or Ryobi's web site?
Did you see it in the store?

Yes. I found it to be well made. Check the ryobi forums for reviews.
