    Bandsaw Blades, Viking vs Timberwolf?

I need to order a couple replacement bandsaw blades because of a very bad day yesterday. Had my 3/16 blade break at the weld, while cutting a BS box made of brazilian rosewood. finished the rough cutting with my 1/4' blade (thankfully no tight curves left to cut). I think my lower thrust bearing loosened up and slid, causing way to much torque on the blade, thus breaking at the weak point. later in the day I was using a 1/2' 4 tpi for cutting the front and back of drawers on a piece of leopard wood when I hit a knot and the piece jumped up into the blade badly deforming my 1/2" blade, rendering it useless. I was allready placing an order through Lee Vallley, who deal in Viking blades and was thinking I might save a little on shipping. They seem to be priced roughly similarly to Timberwolfs, but I'm unsure of the quality. I'm just curious if anyone has had experience, good or bad.

Here's a little-known fact: Viking blades are Timberwolf blades, sold under the Viking name. Or vice-versa, if you prefer.

And that's where I come in.

Timberwolf blades are usually on a "4 for the price of 3" deal at suffolkmachinery.com. You need to mention the 4 for 3 deal.

The 4 for 3 deal no longer exists. They have just started a buy 5 get 20% off deal. the CS rep on the phone said it was the first time they've changed that deal in a couple of years.
