    Don't leave out a straight bit in the router with a router table for making those rabbets. Very inexpensive if you happen to have a router table setup.

      Thanks for confirming that for me priest. I suspected that with a router table I could make my dado cuts w/ a straight router bit.

        Using a straight bit in the router table is how i have made all my drawers in my projects.

        put a 3/4 bit in the router and use your fence to get just the right depth, i also use the baltic birch plywood for my drawers. a 1/4 inch bit will easily cut a dado along the bottom for the bottom of your drawer if you use 1/4 ply for that. no need to glue it, just let it be!
