Doweling on router table

Good day

I would like to share with you the way that I’m drilling dowel holes for a frame.

The first two pics are showing the “Pedal” construction.

I did not include pics that shows the setting of the fence and the bit height stop.

To save pics, I’m showing a step-by-step drilling on one side (L), the other side (R) is the same.

You will see the numbers 4.0 and 6.0, those are Centimeters, 4.0 = 1-9/16” and 6.0 = 2-3/8”.

what is the pedal for?

i am interested in making a fence for my router, i was wondering if you had a setup in mind, maybe you can show some pictures of your router table fence set up.

Hi Omar

It looks to me that you missed the “Router table post”, anyway, when I step on the pedal, it lifts the router up (up to the preset plunge stop) and it drills the dowel hole.
