It's official I am now an owner of an 8 year old Grizzly G1023. I went to look at it yesterday and I couldn't find a thing wrong with it except that it was missing the dust port cover. Table is flat, motor is strong and not a single bit of rust.
Bought it from a guy here in Denver, a general contractor who came to the US from Ireland 10 years ago. He showed me around his house and the work he did was amazing.
When I initially asked him why he was getting rid of it, he said he didn't have the room for it and it was obvious it did take up half of his shop space. While I was there picking it up, I found out he had hurt his back owning his own general contracting business and couldn't afford the house he was in any longer and needed to get rid of some his tools so that they could move.
A lot of heart went into that house from what I could tell. So while I am happy to have finally got a cabinet saw, I am also sad to learn of this guys misfortune and can't help but to feel a bit guilty, you could tell he had a hard time letting it go.
I asked him a couple of times if he was sure about it, almost trying to talk him out of it.
