Don't buy a Jointech or Incra TS or RT system...

until you see what Jointech is coming out with by New Year. I was at their factory today picking up a Smart Miter system (way cool but a different post) and was speaking with the owner about whether or not I should get a their table saw system or the router table version. He asked what my time frame was and I told him sometime in the next 3-4 months. He then pulled me aside into their production area and showed me what they are finishing up development on. Imagine a lead screw fence system without that huge bar and clincher machine in the middle of the table taking up room. They have developed a conventional fence system where the "clincher" was moved to the front rail completely freeing up the table. No more hang over the right end. Same .001" accuracy but it works like a regular fence. It will also have the centering finder on the current system. I asked how much it is going to cost and he said he was still considering the pricing. He did say it should be less than the current set up due to much less complexity and related production costs. So, if you are considering purchasing a similar system from Incra, you might consider holding off a few months until they have the new system available.
