    "minor" upgrade

I got a pretty good giggle when I compared my new sander to the old one, or is that the old sander to the new one??? .... well anyway .... bigger is better, age is a matter of the mind ..... and I don't mind the age, so it don't matter

I don't think I'll ever need to upgrade again
If it ain't broke.. don't fix it!!!... but you can always 'hop it up'

Looks like a father/son sanding set. Did you get a miter gauge with it? If not, I found one at HF for under $10. BTW, was Quaker State Oil on sale?

sander and about 30 belts for $200, gonna have to drop about $30 on miscellaneous missing parts yet. I think I did okay

          1.) yes
2.) that's trans fluid in that pic, specifically it's Chrysler +3 fluid, the ONLY Quaker State product that I'll purchase. I wouldn't touch their motor oils with a 10' pole

I know its in the back of your mind, but just to remind you, DON'T TURN ON THE BELT SANDER!

For every one else, I got $2 that says the little sander already went sailing. Whos in?

I'm in. Another $2 as to it landing in more than one piece?

Just wanted to update and show the progress pics .... I spent a "little" time on it ....

BTW: Thanks Jeff, your post prompted me to examine the motor pulley more closely than I normally would have, it is cracked and while it's working for now it will need replacement in short order.
