    Woodmaster Planer/Moulder

Does anyone use a Woodmaster planer/moulder? I spoke to a Woodmaster rep today he talked about using the machine as a business to make custom moulding. He said there is good money in it. Is anyone using this machine or any brand of moulder for income producing work? Anyone making a living producing and selling custom molding?

I used a woodmaster for many years. It planes, can make mouldings and can convert to a drum sander. Mine had the variable infeed speed motor which was useful depending on what procedure you're doing. You can make multiple mouldings at a time by setting up a guide board on the in/out feed tables with guide strips. I used it to make mouldings for my own work, not as a retail outlet. We had a toolmaker nearby that did all my carbide sharpening and also made custom knives with counterweights for any design I wanted. If you can find a good one used, grab it.
