    Ridgid 14"or 15" bandsaw...

What do you all think about this deal, a man just moved today, I saw his
bandsaw on a truck, we talked about it for a while, come to find out he is a little scared of it, not comfortable sawing curves in thick timbers with it,
didn't try to use it other than that and wants to sell it. It is a big commercial
type Ridgid cast iron cased 14" or 15" bandsaw on a stamped steel frame
he bought a HD about a year ago for around $400.00 now only wants $100.00 for it ....hardly used.A little surface rust on the table and that is
all that is wrong with it. I am thinking about calling him in the morning and
see if the deal is still on......... eezlock

Yeah, I probably wouldn't opt for the Ridgid personally at 400$, but for 100$, grab it!!

Walk over as fast as you can and ease his pain by taking it off his hands. It's a great deal. Post some pics once you get it and I'll help you tune it up.

Jump on it - a tuned up Ridgid is great saw and at $100 its a no-brainer.

That's just stealing at $100 they are $350 new at HD. A good saw after tuning. I think after the purchase you should give him a 6 pack of his favorite beer to help calm his nerves.

I don't mind hearing it, but keep it to yourself if it stinks.

Give him a $110 and buy him a case of his favorite beer! Then you'll both be happy.

I have one and it is OK, but at that price is a steal.
I paid $200 for an older grey floor model.
Throw away the stock blade and get some better quality ones, turns it into a totally different saw. The stock blade is worthless.
I also put some Rockler urethane tires on too.
