    Old Iron, Lot's of It

In response to a 'Hardwood Wanted' ad I posted on the local craigslist, I went by a business to look at some Maple. The Maple pretty much sucked for any price, but a corner of the large 'shop' was filled with old WW machinery.

A huge Delta Rockwell bandsaw at least an 18" probably 24, too crowded to get up close, it stood around 7' tall

A relatively new Delta 14" BS

A big honking Powermatic shaper and a big PM jointer

    A couple of big planers

    A 12" old Delta RAS

A never used DC system from Lowes, Delta I believe

AND, an old Delta Rockwell Unisaw in what looked like very good condition, under all the dust. The top wasn't scratched or rusted and all the parts were there for the saw and cabinet.

There was more that I couldn't get close enough to examine.

The lady that owns it bought it all from a WW shop and has never put it in service. It all seems to be 110/220 single phase.

Sha said she will take $2500 for everything, or whatever she can get close to that, she wants it out of the way.

Oh, to have the space and time..

      Ken,

Buy it all, piece it out and make a chunka change on it. I'm sure your car would be fine out in the driveway for a couple weeks.

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.

          Ken,

What size do you think that jointer is?

I'm reasonably sure it is at least 8". The tools were all pushed together with other small tools piled on it was difficult to get close. I did recognize the old Powermatic green color with gold lettering and nameplate on the jointer. Email me, Brian, if you want the contact info.
