Porter-Cable 7336 or 7424 random orbit sander

Thinking of getting either one of these random orbit sanders. They are not cheap here in Canada, but probably the last sander I will purchase.

There is a cult like following using either to wax/polish cars and boats as well. I plan do use it for both sanding and waxing/polishing. About 60% waxing/polishing and 40% sanding.

I haven't seen any mention of these on this forum. Any opinions?

I have one, and they are awesome for cars. But I was wondering about it's use for woodwork as well. It will work for wood, of course, but it has no dust collection, which may be an issue for some people.

The other side is I would be wary about sanding wood then buffing my car, if some wood dust came out of it, it may marr the finish of the car.

But as my car becomes more of a kid transport instead of my 'baby', I find less interest in polishing. So I may use my PC for wood next time I have a use for an orbital sander.
