    shop fox w1741

    I am looking at jointers and wanted to see what the opinons are on the shop fox w1741. It looks like a great deal. I can get one for $630.00 Grizzly sells a model that looks just like it, but its $750.00

    I don't have an direct experience with that jointer but for the price, buy it and don't look back. I'm sure it's the same basic machine as the Grizz which many have been happy with.

    I do have a SF 19" BS though and am happy with it.

      I got one about a month ago for $655 (btw, your price is the best one I have saw yet!).
      It is an excellent jointer and I have been very pleased with it. The only problem I have had is with the substantial vibrations during the shut down cycle. I don't know that anyone has gotten an answer on that yet.
      Again, highly recommended. You can't find that much iron for that kind of price. And the 3hp motor . . . .get out of here. Awesome.
