    Craftsman 10" bandsaw question

A couple of months ago several folks got the craftsman 10" bandsaw and posted that they really liked them. I was wondering if you're still enjoying them now that you've had them for a while. I'm thinking about getting one.

    thanks in advance,

    I'm interested as well...

I am looking for a good band saw (on a budget). I am not concerned with resaw capability at this point. I will be some day, so I am hoping this would hold it's value for when I go to sell it.

    Are these made by Rikon?

I'm not sure who makes them, but the certainly appear to be by Rikon. Or an Orion knock-off. I have the 14", it's a good saw.

          Craftsman 10" Bandsaw

I picked one up around Christmas. So far it has performed very well for the cost. It's much like the Rikon except it has a much nicer table with a fence and about an inch more cutting depth. I bought the Sears three blade pack to try out a variety of blade widths. Even though they are not the Timber Wolf blades everyone talks about, they worked well enough (not expecting them to last too long though). I was able to re-saw some 4" oak (only about a foot long) without any real issues once I put enough tension on the blade. So far, I've made an 8* dovetail sled and a circle cutting jig for it and have used both successfully on a couple of small projects. It's very handy and compact, great for my small shop.
