I have a new to me bandsaw (15" grizzly G1148). I am putting a new blade on it and I am having a tracking issue. The top wheel is tracking fine it is the lower wheel that I am having the issue with. With the blade riding in the center (and staying there) the blade on the lower wheel rides to the front edge of the wheel.
I have the bandsaw book but it only describes tracking issues related to the upper wheel.
Previously a 1/4" blade tracked fine. When I removed the old blade I also made some upgrades. I have also upgraded the tension knob to allow me to apply greater tension to the blades. I also upgraded the guides to Carter guides. The blade I am putting on is 3/8.
Ideas are the wheels out of plane? What is the best way to check this?
Is the increased tension pulling the lower wheel causing the tracking issue? I am not applying that much tension to the new blade.
Any insight or help would be appreaciated.
