Triton tools/workstation (Australian) Any1?

Saw a table for sale in my local Craigslist a few weeks ago and had never seen one before. Thought it might be a HF product, but appears to be an Australian company started in 1976 by a guy that needed to cut straight lines with a circular saw. Many products in the online information. Looks cheapie quality, but have no reference. Wondering if anyone has any experience with or heard about the quality of these products? Currently have most of the tools (handheld and bench) that I need but am always looking at what's out there. I'd think if these really do all the things as advertized, it would cost a lot. All the specs are in watts, and other ratings that don't make sense to me. The respirator looks cool, but is doesn't say if it is Hepa rated or what micron size it filters down to. Lists some other sort of rating.

Appears to be a woodworking system that is akin to the Mark V but in much smaller portable pieces with lots of add on extras. Again, no prices...

He may be able to shed some light on what it is you were looking at.
He is and Aussie contributor here.
The Triton stuff that I have seen for sale all seems to be of high quality. Personally have their 3-1/4 HP router and love it.

Triton tools have a very good name for quality in Oz - and Canada.

I have their Router and cordless Plunge drill - great quality.

Having said that, when I was looking for a saw table (a gazillion years ago!), I didn't like their "pressed metal" construction and the idea of attaching a circular saw to use as a saw table - BUT - there are thousands of Aussies who do like it - light weight, fold up.

I don't think there will be any quality issues - just a different approach to making sawdust.

I found the users forum for Triton and there are over a thousand threads to explore. Unique looking system. Somebody put some time into thinking it out.

Triton products are not cheap because of their quality. Their Superjaws are a good example - at every trade woodworking show I've ever been to over here, all exibitors who need to grip something use them - without exception. If the trade use them, then they're to be trusted.

The modular system can appear a little quirky to start with, but if you need something that doesn't take up much space, folds away for storage/transport and will last a lifetime, then it's a no-brainer.

Their bench deals with ripping and crosscutting and swiftly converts to a router table as well. I know several finish carpenters who wouldn't use anything else on site and a good number of serious woodworkers use the system as their sole workshop setup. The color might be a bit "Tonka Toy" but you've got to look past that at the flexibility, portability and quality.

I'm just about to spring for their large circular saw because I already own their fabulous router. Superjaws will be next.
