    FF Biscuits

I have a project that calls for the use of FF biscuits. Although I have two biscuit joiners, neither of them supports FF as is, and there is no mention of FF in the literature I can find on the web (the manuals are long gone).

Should i expect to be able to buy the appropriate blade on the open market? Should i expect it to work properly when installed?

One of the applications in this project is joining miter joints on the 1-by frame of a serving tray, which would be perfect for a bisuit joiner. Is there another way to skin this cat?

    TIA,

Depends which units you have hwether you would get the blade and make your own adjustment for depth.
My PC uses an included 2" blade for FF biscuits.

I should have mentioned the models. I've got a Skil 1605 and Craftsman 009.277300.

With the PC 577 is it just a matter of changing the blade, or is there also a special FF position on the depth knob?

On the PC you will need to change the blade as well as set the depth knob for FF biscuits.
