Does anyone know if the Rockler templates will fit the HF dovetail jig? Other than the stops I don't see any differences between the two. Would like to have a thru dovetail template for my HF jig. Pat

HF is smaller
I was unhappy with the HF finger plate so I got one from Rockler. What I found is that the Rockler jig is about 4 inches longer! The finger area is the same but their is extra length on the ends. I used the HF plate to locate the holes.Attached FilesCut twice.... measure?? -

Wow, I thought sure I had read somewhere around here that you could get templates for the HF jig from elsewhere. Porter Cable maybe?

I've heard that Grizzly has templates that the HF DT Jig. You can also use the Shop Fox Templates in the HF Jig too...

I bought a 7/16 template for my HF jig from Grizzly. It has "Shop Fox" cast into it. The holes are not exactly in the same place but it is very close and not difficult to install without drilling any new holes. The Grizzly templates are machined aluminum and pretty nice. It seems like it was less than $20.
