Avoid this tool at all cost...

Unless you're scraping paint then you just gotta have one..still makes my arm hurt though.

I took this week off work to get the outside of the house painted...yeah I know...kinda sucks for a vacation but it needs to be done so badly. The house is a one story brick rancher but has tall rooflines and squared up side like a 2 story would. I'm tearing all the fascia boards off and replacing them (everything is actually masonite not wood) and scraping the soffits and the uprights. Its a lotta work but this scraper is amazing...I can only imagine how much time its saved me already.

    Hey, I Know them!

Dunno about the tool, but I think I represent the guys making the tools. I represent a Union that has a Sandvik facility in NJ and in PA, plus a Bahco facility in PA. But, Bahco was sold to snap-on a few years ago. The health care transfer was murder.

then again, maybe my guys don't make it since their work is more parts for other stuff, not finished tools. whatever.

      Hey, that looks familiar!

I have that exact same scraper (brand, size, everything) hanging in my shop. I think I added it to an amazon.com order when I needed an inexpensive item to reach the required minimum for a discount code purchase.

So far I've manfully resisted trying it out.

That's its sole purpose in my shop. When you call it a glue scraper instead of a paint scraper it doesn't give you that cold shudder.

Yeah that is exactly what I bought it for and have untill this week always used it for...works like a champ on glue squeeze out on panels and really well on the inside of boxes cabinets etc.

I have to say I'm just amazed at how well the blade has held up...I've got about 100' of soffit left to go and then that will leave just the windows..yuck. I just today turned the blade over when I started on the front of the house but the first side really was still just fine. I've ran the blades over countless nails and it hasn't even got a chip in it. Its worked so well I'm gonna get the little triangle scraper next time I order something from Amazon...along with a new blade of course.
