PC 890 Gear Rack Screws

<sigh> One of the screws holding the gear rack on my PC 890 router has fallen out, and made it's way to where single socks from our drier hide (I.E. can't find it anywhere). Any suggestions where I could get a replacement quickly? Lousy design..

The screws of my older PC690 are all normal U. S. sizes. What about removing the other screw and making a trip to your favorite hardware store?

The heat and rotation of the dryer propagate a mini-wormhole that sucks a single sock into an alternate universe. Close proximity to a hot, rotating router probably does the same thing.

Try running the router in reverse inside a freezer and see if the screw comes back....

Success. Happy to report that my local Ace hardware had a replacement which fit perfectly albeit a tad longer than the original. Happily - I didn't have to resort to quantum physics, wormholes or other methods. Unfortunately - Ace was unable to give me a heads up on the missing socks...

I had the same problem on my PC895. Not only lost the screw but the rack broke. PC shipped me a new one with no problem.

You might want to contact PC as there was a recall on some of the motors. I can't find my paperwork to give you the code on the motor ID plate but they sent me a new motor and a call tag to send the old one back.
