I am probably admitting how much of an idiot that I am, but I have about 6 hours invested installing the Herculift Plus on to a Wolfcraft 6132 stand. I have followed the directions but have run into the following difficulties.
1. How can I center the spring when there is shelving unit blocking the spring path? Hooking the spring off to the side did not allow the Herculift stand to operate correctly.
2. When drilling the holes for the leg brackets, I found it difficult, if not impossible to align the holes correctly. As a result, it looks like my Wolfcraft stand was involved in a drive by shooting as I had to re-drill my holes to get the brackets to fit. Now all of my brackets are not centered where they should be and when I rock the tool stand the casters are not flat. I am afraid to drill yet more holes as there is not much metal left at 3 and 1/8 inches.
I am ready to return two of the Herculifts that I bought and probably buy one of the more expensive but more easy to assemble HTC stands.
Any ideas will be appreciated as I sit here demoralized because the shop set up is so slow and the wife is thinking that my tool purchases might have been a mistake.
