    Opinions/Comments re: Multi-Quick Support from Rockler

    Does anybody have one of these Multi-Quick Supports from Rockler?

    http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?p...HCHEDADADADBDB

    I'm curious if you extend or collapse via ratcheting action or if they're locked with a twist of the two rods. I've called Rockler and the woman could only repeat to me what's on the website. When she inquired with the "technical department" they told her they're locked with a phillips head screw which seems almost impossible let alone an inconvenience...who would even buy it? The photo seems to indicate ratchet detents but that would be somthing you would promote as a feature like they do with the 3RDHand available through Amazon here

    The Rockler ones are cheaper and have an overzized foot as an option but I can't find them anywhere else on the web. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Greg

    Hi Greg;

    I have one of the Rocklers and it doesn't use a Philips screw, it is like a rachet that catches on those "holes" you see. Works fine. I got it some time ago and have used it just a few times, but those times it was indispensible (wife wasn't home!) Hope this helps...

      You might look at these also

      We use them to secure trailer loads. You might be able to get the size your looking for a little cheaper if you Google (Cargo bars)
