    PC 7529 Mounted to BT3100

I have the chance to pick up a PC7529 at a very attractive price. I was wondering how difficult it is to mount it to the BT3100. Do I need the accessory kit to do it? (Yes, I know about the benefits of having a dedicated router table, but my shop space is EXTREMLY limited!)

    Thanks in advance

If you are willing to make your own router mounting plate, then no you do not need the accessory kit. Just flip the acc. table over and measure the dimensions that the plate needs to be.

What David said. (I run a table-mounted 7529 on my BT3k, but in a home-made section of the table, not the accessory table.)

But, what I wanted to say is that there have been some problems with the 7529 that you might want to research before you buy. Mine's been fine in the table, but I've had real trouble with the main switch when I try to use it handheld. Dust gets in the switch and requires a good clean out (including disassembly) especially after a while in the table.

      Regards,
      Tom

I made a post here, I have mine in a CM Pro Table top(like the Benchdog style). The above the table adj. is a great feature and the DC is good b/c you can have above and below ports.
On my BT, I have a RE600,and have had to disassemble the switch too due to dust clogs. The Ryobi routerkit DC is not good,(I use the Pro CM clearance Al one now on the BT) and b/c it is open, under the table, I think that adds to the problems. The 7529 in type 1 had very problematic switch controls that were changed in the type 2 & 3. Also check the play in the plunge rods, some are very bad, mine is perfect. Not the best design but I paid $40 for the Lowes display.
You can direct mount to the Access. table for max depth as I did the RE600,drilled and countersunk the top,no plate at all. I leave that router there,no hand use, the PC7529 also stays in the table. Do not ask how many routers I have,my wife might find out!
