Will this system work on the BT3100? Has anyone tried it yet? The reviews are glowing. I thought this might be a better way to handle two things at once...the accuracy of the TS fence without having to use the tape measure and guessing about how accurate it is going to be and the ability to use it for the Router table as well.

never mind...
Spoke to the Incra folks here in Dallas. They said they haven't designed it yet for the BT series. However, they do have a shop set up not to far from my office. Might have to make a lunch dash down there...Howard, the Plano BT3'r.

I could be skipping a tooth on a gear here, but I thought Tom Hintz was adapting it to the BT.....It could be someone else...HUM!!!!!All men dream, but not equally. Incra might not have anything yet for the Ryobi, but Jointech does. Here's a link: http://www.jointech.com/ryobi_sawtrain.htmNo good deed goes unpunishedComment

Incra TS III
I have the Incra LS and the BT and will be putting it together. However, this will have to wait a few months since my stuff is in storage waiting for my new house to be completed. If someone finishes earlier, I would love to see it. If I do get to it first, I will write it up.
I do have ideas and i think it will work. I have studied the jointech setup and they go off the BT fence. I am hoping to try a more ambitious project and mount directly by rigging up a wider table. It is all in my mind and I am itching to try it. I am still trying to work out how to mount the SMT without the BT fence.
If I make it work, I will be able to sell the fence and the rails and reccoup some cost.
For what it is worth, buying Incra or jointech systems at retail price to install on BT would not be a financially sensible idea especially since the bt fence is so good. I did get a great deal on ebay so i am not hurtiung that much. otherwise you will spend 3x the cost of the saw for a saw/router system.Comment

Have you bought a woodturning lathe, and the accessories to go with it? Often times you will spend 3X the cost of the lathe to purchase the necessities of a chuck, turning chisels, tool rests, sharpening equipment, and so on. It's not difficult to spend $$$$$$$$$$$$ on woodworking.Originally posted by r1968I have the Incra LS and the BT and will be putting it together. well, when I bought the BT, I knew going in that this was going to be the cheapest part of the deal. I figured out I also needed a good router - bought a Craftsman 1617, a good router table, bits (awaiting my set from Bit's n Blades) a 14" bandsaw, Ridgid spindle sander, planer, joiner, drill press, lathe, various clamps, other stuff I'll realize I need one day and finally... and not least... a much bigger garage to house it all. I figure about $5000 could get me outfitted pretty well, exlusive of the big house needed to get to the big garage. That's a wife deal.Howard, the Plano BT3'r.
