FWW reviewed clamps a few issues back. They found differences but I did not rush out to buy any new clamps based upon their input. I have 4 - 3 foot 1/2 inch pipe clamps, 4 - 4 foot 1/2 inch pipe clamps, 2 4 foot 3/4 inch pipe clamps and 2 six foot 3/4 inch pipe clamps. The little 1/2 inch ones are OK for 3 foot but not 4 foot - they flex a bit much. 3/4 inch work noticably better for longer clamps. I am sure that aluminum or steel bar clamps are better and FWW liked the parallel bar clamps (what Norm on NYW uses) but I get by nicely with my cheap pipe clamps and culls (the jaws of pipe clamps are noticably not square so you really need culls). I also have 8 2 foot bar clamps and a whole pile of C clamps up to 6 inches.

3 x the price? Where are you getting that deal?!?!?! I find it is closer to 10 x the price and I got good deals on my K'bods.
