    Delete a new thread?

I started a new thread, then decided it might not be a good idea to post it because someone might try to make it political. I tried to delete the thread, but I did not get that option. There had been no replies posted because this happened right after I posted it. I had to ask for help in deleting it. Shouldn't I have had the option to delete it if there were no replies?

I've vote for this feature, too. ...and the ability to go back and change the title. I've made sooo many embarrassing typos in thread titles...

I can delete threads. What's the problem?

Seriously, you guys can't delete them? I've deleted several of mine but it never occurred to me I was wearing my mod hat when I did it. Can you delete your own posts? Instead of deleting the thread what happens if you delete the post?

You can change the title : when you edit your post, it shows the title as non-editable. Now you should click the 'Go Advanced' button, which allows you to change the title as well.

But deletion is not allowed : once a response is posted to the thread, then the thread starter even loses the right to delete the post if it's the very first post of the thread.

I didn't get the option to delete the thread, even though there were no replies. I have deleted posts in the past with no problem.

I read something about this before. I think you have to delete it before it's been viewed or something like that. Plus I'm not sure how much the admins have control over that feature. It's either built in or it's not.
