    Banner ads?

I used to see the banner ads but now I don't. Any help?

Be grateful. This morning, in the Amazon banner, the following was "offered"

    Man sock

    I'm not joking.

MilDoc, did you change firewall protection by any chance? I used to have Norton and it blocked the banners but I recently switched to a different firewall protector and now I have the banners again. Norton had a switch to turn the banners off and on but my new one doesn't seem to have that. At least I haven't found it yet if it does.

I've used Norton for years. In the past, banner ads were visible. Now not. I'll look more closely at Norton for an ad switch.

Are you running any addware blocking apps?

I'm Running Firefox with Add Block Plus. When it's turned on, no banner adds. Turn off ABP and the banners reappear.

And for whatever it's worth I leave them off unless I need to buy something since Amazon REALLY thinks I need Brian's 'man sock' and uses that as the feature item ~75% of the time...

Hopefully I have eliminated the "Man Sock". I think I know why that was in the rotation. There are A LOT of threads here at BT3Central about Thom's thong!

Next I'll have to censor rubber skirts and belly buttons.

Finally found the setting in the new Norton that turns off ads, now I see the banner ads and the BT3Central banner.
