    Clickable Image Weirdness

Reading Brian G's thread about dust control for a dovetail jig, I'm getting the following error message when I click on one of the photos to bring up the full-size image:

LarryG, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

    1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
    2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Have never seen this before; and pictures in other threads work fine. I've logged out, cleared all cookies, and logged back in. No help.

Same thing happen to me, but now the screen width view has also changed on mine. Had been using the "first" view, which I like, but now only give me 2 choices, "fixed" or "100%" view. ?????

Same here, and same here. I'm thinking maybe Sam is implementing the new width choices.

Problem 1: The same thing is happening to me! I'll look into it.

Problem 2: Larry is right. I had to narrow the choices, too many to deal with. I picked the 2 that were the most used.

I found the image problem... Brian marked his images as "private". We can view them inline, but not full size. Perhaps this was an oversight on his part?

              DOH!

              Sorry 'bout that. It's fixed.

              Edit:

When I click the images in that thread I'm taken to the film-strip viewer, which includes all the photos in "My Gallery". Does this happen to anyone else, or are you just getting the larger view of the photo on which you clicked?

If I click on someone else's photo, I get just the larger view, not the film-strip viewer.

I want to be sure I'm not screwing up something else, too.

When I click on your files Brian I do see a larger version of the picture, with a film strip view below it, then below that is your username, password, social security number, and bank accounts.

Okay, so I'm kidding on the last 4, but I do see the film strip view.

I think I found the reason. I'm using the "My Photos" "Open" method (just below the smilies in the message composition screen) to post the photos.

Clicking on the photo to insert puts the code into the message composition box. I'm not a code expert, so my description may not use the correct terminology, but it looks like the url code references the film-strip, and the inline picture is the thumbnail image.

I experimented, and I found that if I change the url reference to the full-size image, then all that pops up when I click the thumbnail is the full-size image.

For example, the url reference code is

                  . . . . bt3central.com/vbimghost.php?do=displayimg&imgid=27

change it to whatever the link is for the thumnail MINUS the thum_

                  e.g., bt3central.com/imagehost/thum_blah...blah...blah.jpg

                  to bt3central.com/imagehost/blah...blah...blah.jpg

Then it works. That probably doesn't make any sense to anyone without my pea-brain.
