    Wide screen

    Why do some of the topics posted come out wider than my screen? Is it me? For example, the current post in tool talk about compressor noise will not fit on my screen.

    Something in the topic is non-breakable. Usually this means a large image or long URL. In the case of the compressor topic, there's a long URL to an epinions review...

    Posters can avoid that by using http://www.tinyurl.com or a simiar service, and keeping image sizes down...

      Thanks Tim. I was afraid I was getting too narrow.

        FYI tiny url's expire. Bad Ju-Ju. You can use this format to give a clickable link without the long url.

          Or better yet..
          {url="http://www.anetechnologies.com"}AnE Technologies{/url}

          switch { with [ and } with ]

          and you should have something such as
          AnE Technologies

            Not according to tinyurl...

            From their website:

            By entering in a URL in the text field below, we will create a tiny URL that will not break in email postings and never expires.

            EDIT: Out of curiosity, I did some googling for old instances of tinyurl's. The earliest reference I found in google groups was in early 2002, and it still pointed to the correct URL that the post mentioned. I tried several other early and later ones, same story. So it seems they really don't expire...
