deleting thread w/ no replies

In the old version of this Board I seem to remember a poster could remove a thread that he was author of if no one had posted a reply
Can't seem to do this now
Would be a good way for housekeeping the forum
Or maybe now such "orphan" threads just drop off after a certain time?

Even when I zap a spam, this forum only soft deletes it. Its still there.
I wouldn't worry much about a thread like this showing up in a search result. This search engine has burnt rings, so it blows a lot of smoke.
