imbedded pictures: changing url?

Problem: With archived topics that I have pictures posted in how can or can I change the url of the pic without making the topic active again.

Same thing with topics that are not yet archived: If I edit to change url of imbedded pictures is there a way to do so without making the topic show up as a recent topic?

I don't think you can under the current set up of this forum. Sam might be able to tweak something in the Snitz software that allows that. I have wondered about the same thing a couple of times.
