Pic Test - TinyURL - DP DC

This is the ~ same post I made in the Dust Collector for Drill Press thread. I used TinyURL.com to reduce the size of the ImageStation address to see if the images would show more consistantly. I also posted the ImageStation link to the album at the end.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Update. Two of the four pictures show. Nothing for the other two.
Update #2. Now none of the pictures show.
Update #3. I reposted the TinyUrl address for the first picture. And I added a real link to the ImageStation album. The album link works.
Update #4. Geeze. All of the pictures are showing in the preview. I'm confused!

I made a dust pick up for my drill press tonight. I did not attach the plastic sewer pipe to the post of the DP as I originally planned. The revised DP DC is simpler and more adaptable to various uses.

I attached an angle bracket to a 6" piece of 4" sewer pipe. I inserted and taped a plastic DC union into a flexible metal dryer hose, then press-fit the union into the sewer pipe. I press-fit the union on the dust collector hose into the other end of the sewer pipe. I clamp the angle bracket on the sewer pipe to the DP table with a spring clamp.

    Here's the set up:

This is the mouth of the pick up:

This is the sewer pipe bracket. The pick up can be press-fit into either end, depending on how high above the table it needs to be positioned.

A cleat inside the sewer pipe holds the bracket to the pipe:

I haven't used it on a project yet, but it looks like it will work just fine. I can reduce the size of the opening is increase velocity like Loring suggests if needed.

ps -- Images from ImageStation have been inconsistant in my recent forum posts. Here is ImageStation's own link to the album with the DP DC pictures. The album contains other photos also. Keep clicking "next" until you find the four photos of the drill press dust collector.

Well, the album link that ImageStation supplied doesn't work on this board. May be for a web site, not a forum post. So here's the web link to the album. Still have to click "next" "next" etc to find the four pictures.

For whatever it's worth, I see the first and fourth picture. I get "red Xs" (actually blue question-marks since I'm on a Mac) for the other two. The imagestation album link requires membership to view.

      Dean:

Thanks for your input. I don't know if the problem is with me or with ImageStation. Thanks for pointing out that membership is required to view the album.

      I'm still confused!

The first two show up fine and I got red X's on the last two.[8)]
[8)]On the last two, I did a "right click" and told it to "show picture", it worked on #3, but #4. Go figure! [)]
Is there any difference in how you call the last two? If so, that might explain the problem to some degree.

Imagestation is the problem -- it's not meant for linking images off-site. Good news is BT3Central should have it's own image hosting very soon.
