    Sam: Something weird happening!

I don't know if it's just me, but after making the last 2 replies, the first crashed NS 4.7, the second just closed NS.

    Replies logged OK.

I haven't made any changes to my PC or software - is it just me?

I don't know what kind of problems that XP home has, but I do know that it does not run our software. One of our contract network guys will not even support it. He tells his other clients to call him back when they have upgraded to "XP Professional". Microsoft was done some strange things with it in terms of the operating system supporting things other tan Microsoft. Especially if the other software is a "program that is in competition" with MS...

Wish I had a direction to point you at, but I don't. I guess if you don't get it figured out, I can ask my son. He is so good he even taught himself to program in assembler.. He is a real propeller head.

XP home has the same kernel as XP pro. MS has disabled a couple of features that deal with domain security (which is why your network guys hate it.).

The problem that we have with is more than the kernel. The ipx/spx protocalls do not work right. My understanding is that the networking issues are the problem.

But hey, most of this is way over my head, (like elephants doing you know what).[8D][8D]
