That's cool! I want one.

What would be better USA or FL?

And where can I get one?

Mine doesn't wave, but it is "La couleu d'Jerri" - the flag (colour) of Jersey (CI).

And this is our National Anthem:

Je me disais aucun séjour
N'est plus beau que ma Normandie,
C'est le pays qui m'a donné le jour.

Il est un âge dans la vie,
Ou chaque rêve doit finir,
Un âge ou l'âme recueillie
A besoin de se souvenir.
Lorsque ma muse refroidie
Vers le passé fera retour,
J'irai revoir ma Normandie,
C'est le pays qui m'a donné le jour.

I wonder if it would be unreadable smaller.

I was born and raised in Jersey. I now live in England. Jersey is one of the Channel Islands - "les Isles de la Manche" in French. I believe the Americans have a state named after my little island .

I was raised on a farm near St Lawrence (found roughly in the centre of the map, but actually closer to the coast than it appears above).

For 1,000 years Jersey has had a language of its own. Known to anglophones as Jersey Norman-French and to its speakers as Jèrriais, it is sometimes dismissed as a patois or debased version of 'real' French.

Nothing, of course, could be further from the truth. Jèrriais is more ancient than either modern French or the English language (even American English ).

Linguists will tell you that Jèrriais is a Romance language, that it is derived from the langue d'oil, that it is of western Norman origin and that it is full of words of Norse derivation.

Historians will tell you that it is quite close to the language of William the Conqueror and of the poet Maistre Wace, the Jersey-born author of 'Roman de Rou'.

Today only some 2,000 people speak it with any degree of fluency. Mine is very poor.

However, Jèrriais is first and foremost a vivid language replete with sayings and proverbs and firmly rooted in traditional Jersey life.

My connections with Jersey and its language are much older than I am. My family originally came to the UK in 1066 with William the Conquerer from Normandy.

And, BTW, not far from where I live now, there is a village called Normandy.

Our Loyal Toast is to "The Queen! Lé Duc!" - recognising Her Majesty the Queen as the Duke of Normandy.

I hope that addresses your concerns. Probably more information than you wanted.

BTW - I've got a Wavy flag now!

You learn something new everyday. I thought Jersey was a county or shire in merry old England.

I visted France 2 christmas ago and found it to be beautiful. I had a chance to go to Mt. Saint Michel (i believe that is close to Noramandy, but maybe not the one you mentioned) It was truly a beautiful visit.

For the record i DID NOT find anyone to be rude. My secret was to try to fumble around in my very limited High school french and then resort to spanish then english to get an answer.

Here are some smaller flags so far. Just take your pic. If someone else would like to use a waving flag, just find one and post it. I'll see about making them smaller. I have noticed that some come out better than others. Probably better quality images to start with.
