New Post Indicator

The file folders on the left don't allways change color to indicate a new post when I log in.
A problem with my system or the server?

Well if it's anything like my experiences tonight,you are in the same boat.It was slow logging in ,then when I did log in,I clicked active topics,they all displayed,clicked on the first one and after 2 minutes gave up waiting for it to load,and it froze on the page,restarted the puter,logged in,then all active topics were gone,had to manually figure out what I read and what I didn't read.Then I marked them all as read,only for it to freeze again,after getting out and relogging in,the active topics from the very first time were all displayed.Site has been acting up for about an hour for me.Hope it's not going the way of the Ryobi site.
