Reading with envy about the LL Lumber Pacs and looking at the neat lumber racks. How do the forum members make lumber storage racks suitable for a Cinder-Block one-car garage?

Bob - Closetmaid and Rubbermaid (I think) both carry shelving systems that can used on block. I have one of the systems installed - and it holds a ton of weight. Home Depot or Lowes carries the high weight shelving. It is very easy to install. -

I made one out of 1 1/4 square steel tubing.
It could hold a tank.
Only cost $70 for materials.
it is 8' long and has 4 levels. (4 vertical supports spaced at 2')
I bolted it to the block with tapcons and made feet to distribute some of the weight.
It did not take that long to make.
I used my dad's mig welder and metal bandsaw.
It looks like the triton racks at rockler, only a lot cheaper.Comment
