Lumber Racks for Concrete Block Walls

Reading with envy about the LL Lumber Pacs and looking at the neat lumber racks. How do the forum members make lumber storage racks suitable for a Cinder-Block one-car garage?

Bob - Closetmaid and Rubbermaid (I think) both carry shelving systems that can used on block. I have one of the systems installed - and it holds a ton of weight. Home Depot or Lowes carries the high weight shelving. It is very easy to install.

I made one out of 1 1/4 square steel tubing.
        It could hold a tank.
        Only cost $70 for materials.
it is 8' long and has 4 levels. (4 vertical supports spaced at 2')
I bolted it to the block with tapcons and made feet to distribute some of the weight.
It did not take that long to make.
I used my dad's mig welder and metal bandsaw.
It looks like the triton racks at rockler, only a lot cheaper.
