Are different brands of S&D pipe the same size?

Trying to switch sections of flex hose to 4" solid sewer and drain pipe. The only section I had, I think, was from Lowes. White pipe with a bell shaped end. Bought some pipe and connectors from HD last night. The pipe is white on the outside but has a smooth black lPaul on the inside.

Do all S&D connection slip over the outer diameter of the pipe--none on the inside? If that's the case, maybe brands are interchangeable if the OD is the same.

I'm not a plumber, but I've used S&D for dust collection. You have either 2729, or 3034. Outside diameters are same, but inside are not. Standard 4" dust fittings will fit snugly inside 3034, but 2729 will be loose.

Thanks. New fittings definitely work on the old pipe. Bought some more fittings this morning. Can't wait to pipe this one connection. I keep tripping over the hose.
